Two Arrests Made For Cocaine

CLEWISTON, FL. -- According to Sheriff Ronnie Lee, the Hendry County Sheriffs Office and the Clewiston Police Department, conducting a joint investigation into Illegal Drug Trafficking, led to the arrest of two Hendry County men. On May 18, 2007, a vehicle, driven by Juan Manuel Aragus, was stopped on Cowboy Way in Labelle for a traffic offense. A passenger, Hector J. Deltorre, exited the vehicle and several plastic bags, containing cocaine, fell from his pants leg. Torres was arrested for possession of the cocaine, however, it was later determined that the cocaine allegedly belonged to Aragus.

A search warrant was signed by a Judge and later executed at the residence of Juan Manuel Aragus and approximately 140 grams of cocaine was located inside the man's Clewiston premises. Juan Manuel Aragus, age 32 of 1840 Old US 27 lot 38, Clewiston, Florida, was arrested and charged with Possession of Cocaine With Intent To Sell, Trafficking Cocaine, and Possession of Narcotic Equipment. Hector J. Deltorre, age 44 of Clewiston, was arrested and charged with Possession of Cocaine With Intent to Sell, Trafficking Cocaine, and Possession of Narcotic Equipment. More charges are pending.
