Hendry Deputy Honored With Luncheon

Ernie Ford - 47 Years In Law Enforcement

LABELLE, FL. -- Hendry County Sheriff Steve Whidden hosted a retirement luncheon for Hendry Deputy Ernie C. Ford, on Friday, January 28, 2011 at noon in the conference room at the Sheriff's office in LaBelle. The Sheriff took time with colleagues to remember Mr. Ford's long career and share time with him on the occasion of his retirement.

Ernie is a long-time employee, 33 years, of the Hendry Sheriff's office and is retiring after beginning his career in 1964 as a full-time law enforcement officer. Mr. Ford also working in Corrections as well, serving under many Hendry Sheriffs.

For the last 13 years he has worked in criminal Investigations, serving throughout all of Hendry County.
