Former Hendry Resident At Museum

Dottie Risley Volunteers At Heritage Museum

LABELLE, FL, -- LaBelle Heritage Museum will have a visiting docent on Thursday afternoons until mid July.  Dottie Risley, oldest daughter of LaBelle Heritage Museum founding member Joe Risley, Jr., and currently visiting relatives in LaBelle, volunteered to open the museum at 150 South Lee Street on Thursdays from 2 to 5 o'clock until she returns to South Carolina around July 15.

Many will remember Dottie as the mainstay at LaBelle Heritage Museum on Saturdays and her making it a point to open the doors on Swamp Cabbage Festival. Dottie says she hopes her many friends will drop by on Thursday afternoons and go through LaBelle Heritage Museum while visiting her.

The Museum is located just south of the Hendry Jail Complex.
