Hendry-Glades Obituaries

On Sunday September 11th, David Beck Thomas, also known as "Doc" left this world to continue on in a better place at the age of 44. He lived a life full of adventure and excitement and always put family first.

He was proceeded by his parents Wanda Faye and Teddy Beck and sister Julie. Survived by Brothers: Charlie and Joey; Sisters: Donna, Vicki, Carol, and Jenny; Children: Derek and Linda and three grandchildren; Serenity, Charisma, and Cherrish.

Graveside Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Ortona Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Thursday in Akin-Davis Funeral Home. Rev. Bill Bloomberg will officiate and Willie Ridgeway will eulogize. 

Interment will be in Ortona Cemetery. Arrangements are by Akin-Davis Funeral Home - Clewiston.

John David Gery, age 88, of LaBelle died Tuesday, September 6, 2011 in LaBelle. He was born October 4, 1922 in Reading, PA.

John was a 1940 graduate of Reading High School. He was a medic in the US Army in WWII, serving in China, Berma, India. 

He owned and operated Vacuum Carpet Cleaning Works from 1963 to 1981.

Survivors include his wife: Jean Miller Gery, son: Daniel L. Gery with his wife Ellen R. of Tuscon, AZ ; daughter: Patricia S. Gery of Ocean City, NJ, step daughter: Donna G. Lee (Michael) of Boise, ID, grandchild: Justin E. Rothenberger with his Wife Bria (Minnich) of Shillington, PA, great-grandchild: Temperance E. Rothenberger and sister: Isabelle Wales and husband Robert of Temple, PA

Anthony Andrew Quattrocchi, age 60, of Alva died Sunday, September 4, 2011 at Fort Myers, FL. Anthony was born February 21, 1951 in Woodbury, NJ. He is the son of Natali A and the late Josephine (Cobb) Quattrocchi. He married Stephanie E. Oravec in 1999.

Anthony served in the Air Force and had been employed as a health care systems supervisor and administrator for The Gulf Coast Jewish Family Services in Fort Myers.

He is survived by his wife: Stephanie E. Quattrocchi ; his two daughters: Jennifer Quattrocchi of Woodbury, NJ, Christinia Quattrocchi of Savannah, GA., his three sons: Dominic Quattrocchi of Indianapolis, IN, Brien Quattrocchi of Brooklyn, NY, Mathew Quattrocchi of New Jersey ; his father Natali A Quattrocchi of Fort Myers ; and his Six Grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be held 9:00 am on Friday, September 16 at Saint Vincent De Paul Roman Catholic Church, 13031 Palm Beach Boulevard, Fort Myers, FL with Father David L. Arle Celebrating.
