The driver, Hermelinda Ramirez, was transported to Lee Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.

While the death of the child is tragic, I have to ask:
Why with Hendry Regional Literally BLOCKS away, why was the survivor transported SIXTY MILES to LEE Memorial?
Why did we spend MILLIONS OF DOLLARS building an Emergency Room in Clewiston to NOT USE IT?

I'm paying higher taxes yearly to support this massive bill for the exclusive use of the poor of Clewiston an even they wont use it.

The post in Spanish says that there need to be guardrails around the canals. In any language, the commenter does indeed have a point.
