Bunny Hops At Egg Hunt

LABELLE, FL. -- Lots of eggs and lots of kids! That’s what was seen at the annual Easter Egg Hunt held by the Kiwanis Club of LaBelle on Saturday, March 23rd.

Over one-thousand eggs were “hidden” behind the Kiwanis Thrift Store on Bridge Street in LaBelle, and the kids raced out into the field hoping to find the prize egg! There were approximately 70 kids happily gathering eggs as their family members watched and cheered them on.

The LaBelle High School Key Club had fun helping the kids out in the “egg field”. The older kids had a great time with the scavenger hunt. They had to put on their thinking caps to solve the clues in order to win their prize!

Prizes were awarded for each of the three age categories, but every child that attended received a goodie-bag so no one went home empty-handed! (Thanks to the Kiwanis Builders Club from West Glades School for helping with the goodie-bags!)

Additionally, a very popular part of the day was visiting with the Easter Bunny! Kids of all ages, including the adults all seemed excited to see the Easter Bunny.

The Kiwanis club of LaBelle would like to extend a warm thanks to everyone who helped make this a special day for the kids and a big thank you to the parents and family members for allowing their children to be a part of the event!
