FORT MYERS, FL. -- Jeffrey Chester Pultorak, 63 of Fort Myers has died as a result of a motorcycle crash with pedestrians on October 2.
James Franklin Roberts, 47 of Bonita Springs, FL and Candace Lynn McHale, 45of Fort Myers were walking west across the northbound lanes of US 41 just south of CR-850 (Corkscrew Road) on Friday night about 8:15 p.m.
Pultorak, on a 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle, was traveling northbound in the center lane just south of CR-850. The two pedestrians walked into the path of the motorcycle causing the front of the cycle to strike them.
As a result, Pulotrak was ejected from the motorcycle and came to a final rest on the center lane of US-41 just South of CR-850. He was not wearing a helmet according to the FHP and was transported to Lee Memorial Hospital.
The crash is being investigated by the FHP and charges are pending.
