CLEWISTON, FL.-- An unknown vehicle and a 2015 Nissan Altima driven by Alexis Daysi Rubio, 18 of Clewiston were southbound on County Road 833 Wednesday at 7:47 p.m..
The unidentified vehicle was traveling ahead of the Nissan as a third vehicle and towed trailer driven by Christopher A. Sellers, 45 of Ft. Myers were northbound on County Road 833.
The driver of the first vehicle came to the intersection of southbound County Road 833 and Avenida Del Club Avenue and failed to yield to oncoming northbound traffic and then initiated a left turn
(east) directly in the path of the Nissan. which swerved to avoid colliding with it.
As a result, the left front of the Nissan struck the left side of the third vehicle in the southbound lane.
The first driver then continued eastbound on Avenida Del Club.
The first driver failed to return to the scene of the incident. There were no injuries.
